Hydrogeochemical Characteristics and Isotopic Tools Used to Identify the Mineralization Processes of Bottled Mineral Water in Morocco

Bottled waters are among the most important products in human diet. In Morocco, eleven bottled mineral were analyzed (physicochemical composition and water stable isotopes) to identify their geologic origins hydrochemical characteristics. The study of ionic ratios shows that mechanisms water–rock interaction, such as dissolution carbonate silicate minerals, influence chemistry these waters, which controlled by lithology tectonics, sometimes with deep flux through fractures. from Oulmes plateau a Na-HCO3 chemical facies relationship alkaline granite. Moreover, carbonated (EMG EMGL) characterized high concentrations Si, Li, Rb, Sr, Cs due CO2 origin. Saiss, Middle Atlas, Rif Ca-HCO3 type linked mainly formation. isotope contents range ?7.74 ?5.35‰ for ?18O ?45.4 ?30.4‰ ?D. recharge altitude aquifer was estimated be between 250 1200 m, following altitudinal gradient 0.25 0.27‰ per 100 m. industrial production process natural presence or artificial addition can also isotopic water. These results relevant guide decision makers better exploitation assessment quality.
